At The Fifth Note Perfumes, every fragrance is carefully crafted, quality-checked, and securely packed before dispatch. Due to the personal-use and hygiene-sensitive nature of perfumes, we maintain a strict but fair return and refund policy.
By placing an order on www.thefifthnote.in, you agree to the terms mentioned below.
1. Returns & Refund Eligibility
We only accept returns or provide refunds/replacements under the following situations:

You received the wrong product

The item arrived damaged, leaking, or defective

The product was tampered with during transit

The item delivered was missing from your order
To qualify, the issue must be reported within 48 hours of delivery along with clear photos/videos of:

Outer packaging

Shipping label
-
Product bottle and box
-
Visible issue/damage
Requests raised beyond 48 hours may not be accepted.
2. Non-Returnable & Non-Refundable Items
Due to hygiene, contamination, and product authenticity concerns, we do NOT accept returns or refunds for:

Opened perfume bottles

Used fragrances
-
Fragrances disliked due to personal preference

Blind-buy dissatisfaction
-
Minor packaging variations
-
20 ml bottles, samples, discovery sets, or gift sets

Sale, discounted, or promotional products
-
Orders delayed due to courier, weather, or unforeseen logistics issues
Fragrance perception is subjective and may vary from person to person depending on skin chemistry, environment, and personal taste. Therefore, “not liking the fragrance” or expecting it to smell different from another brand/inspiration does not qualify as a valid reason for return or refund.
3. Condition for Approved Returns
If your return request is approved:

The product must be unused and in original packaging

All accessories, caps, and boxes must be included

Returned items showing noticeable usage, tampering, or missing components may be rejected after inspection
The Fifth Note reserves the right to reject any return that does not meet these conditions.
4. Refund Process
Once the returned product is received and inspected:

Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 business days

Refunds are issued to the original payment method
-
COD refunds are processed via bank transfer or UPI
Shipping charges (if any) are non-refundable unless the error was from our side.
5. Replacements
If you received a damaged, leaking, defective, or incorrect item, we may offer:

A replacement of the same product, or
-
A refund if replacement stock is unavailable
Replacement approval is subject to verification by our support team.
6. Order Cancellation
Orders can only be cancelled before dispatch.
Once shipped, orders cannot be cancelled.

8. Final Decision Rights
The Fifth Note reserves the right to refuse returns, refunds, or replacements in cases of policy misuse, suspicious activity, excessive claims, or failure to meet the conditions mentioned above.
All decisions made by The Fifth Note support team shall be final.
